Ravitron Support the Arts with Benton Harbor Mural Project
Ravitron is currently working with the Benton Harbor Arts Association, local artists and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Southwest Michigan on a large scale mural project that will benefit area tourism and bring focus to the Benton Harbor Arts District. Phase I of the project includes a new a mural on the side of the Ravitron building. The mural celebrates the contributions women and African Americans have made in the advancement of technology. Phase 2 of the project creates an interactive, guided tour of the murals in the Arts District using cell phone mapping technology and QR codes leading to pages that tell about each of the nine murals in the area. Ravitron has installed one of our on-site video surveillance cameras at the mural so we can live-stream its creation. See our new mural feed at ravitron.com/benton-harbor-arts-tour.
Meet Michael St. John-Ravitron’s New COO
We welcome Michael St. John, MSIT as the new COO of Ravitron. Before coming to work with us Michael served as the Regional IT Sales Manager for Marco Technologies, was an owner and VP of sales and marketing for Expetec Technology Services of Michigan, and was the owner of Championship Technologies, Inc., providing Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems and services to businesses to enable them to enhance their telecommunication capabilities for expansion, increased productivity, and improving the bottom line.
Michael is a highly accomplished IT Executive, Consultant and Veteran with 20 years of success in the information tech, sales, military, and logistics industries. His key areas of expertise include IT consulting, telecommunications and cyber security. He holds a Master of Science, Information Technology, Computer, Administration, and Management from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. He also attained a Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Marketing and Minor in General Business from Western Michigan University-Haworth College of Business. He is currently completing his certification for Microsoft Certified System Administrator.
Michael retired a First Sergeant in the Michigan Army National Guard after 22.5 years of service He served in Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2012. He was selected to represent the Michigan National Guard in Latvia in 2013 and in Liberia in 2015. Michael assists companies to find funding, resources and training to help returning veterans find work. Welcome Michael!
